First Phase
The funds raised from first campaign Project Kitab procured 400 multilingual storybooks from Pratham Books. The storybooks were distributed at Rajyakiya Uchha Prathamik Vidhyalya No-2 , Neemkathana library in rural areas in the districts of Sikar in Rajasthan. Community library will support over 150 children’s educational needs. The storybooks will help promote literacy and foster a culture of reading and learning. To improve the students’ reading ability and to cultivate the habit of reading regularly.
Second Phase
Second phase started in August, 2021, Books Donation Drive was started in our school. Over 500 books were collected with the support of parents, students and teachers.
Variety of books were collected - story books in hindi and english, quiz books , encyclopedia and drawing books also.
This time we set up the library at Haathi Gaon which is situated at the foot of the hill of the Amber Palace and Fort near Jaipur. It is a housing project for a 100 elephants and their Mahouts. The families of mahouts also stay in Haathi Gaon.
We are contributing storybooks and celebrating joy of reading with children. a mission of getting ‘a book in every child’s hand’. The delightful storybooks not only explore topics related to science, maths, technology, and wildlife, they are also diverse, inclusive and challenge stereotypes and prejudices.
